The problem

Mates ride. You sit.

You know the moment. Everyone skates off the chair, points their board downhill and starts moving. You are still sitting in the snow, tightening straps with cold hands.

Burton Step On removes that part. Step in, click down and ride.

Step in. Ride faster.
Why riders switch

Why riders switch to Step On.

01.

Less time strapping in

You step into the binding standing up. No sitting down at the top of every run.

02.

A secure locked-in feel

Three connection points help lock the boot into the binding, so it feels direct and responsive without traditional straps.

03.

Cleaner days on snow

Less fiddling. Less bending over. Less messing around in gloves. More laps.

Time saved

The hidden cost of strapping in.

If every run costs you 30 seconds of sitting, clipping, tightening and standing back up, that adds up quickly.

25 runs in a day = about 12 minutes lost.
5 days on snow = around an hour spent strapping in.

Step On gives that time back where it belongs: on snow.

Compatibility & fit

Will Step On work for me?

Do I need special boots?

Yes. Step On bindings only work with Step On boots. That is why we recommend buying the system together.

Will it fit my snowboard?

Burton Step On Re:Flex bindings fit most modern snowboard mounting systems, including 4x4, 3D and The Channel.

What if I pick the wrong size?

You get 365-day returns, plus expert fitting help from our team. Try boots on indoors first and keep the box and tags.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked.

Is Step On secure?

Yes. Step On locks the boot into the binding at three points: two heel cleats and a single toe cleat. The connection feels direct and responsive, and Burton has been refining the system since 2017. Pro riders use Step On on Burton's snowboard team.

Do I need Step On boots?

Yes. Step On bindings only work with Step On boots. The cleats and receivers are two halves of the same lock. Standard Burton bindings (Cartel, Genesis, Malavita) will not accept Step On boots. The boot and binding are bought as a system.

Will Step On fit my snowboard?

Burton Step On Re:Flex bindings fit most modern mounting systems, including 4x4, 3D and The Channel. If you ride a Burton board with The Channel and prefer the EST mount, choose Step On Cartel X EST or Step On Genesis X EST instead.

Is Step On good for advanced riders?

Yes. The Step On X is built for charging and is what most of Burton's pro team rides. For all-mountain, freeride, jumps and most park, performance is on par with straps. The Photon and Highshot X boots add stiffer flex for stronger riders.

Can I ride park or powder with Step On?

Yes to both. Step On handles park laps, side-hits, jumps and powder days. Burton's freestyle and freeride teams ride Step On year-round. If you want maximum park flex, pair a softer Step On boot with the Step On Re:Flex binding.

What if my boots do not fit?

We offer 365-day returns. Try boots on indoors first and keep the box and tags in good condition. Between sizes? Go down half for a tighter ride feel, up half for comfort. Email help@trojanwss.com if you want a quick size check before you buy.

Can I try them in-store?

Yes. Come to Shop 2, 317 Windsor Rd, Vineyard NSW. Open Mon to Fri 9:30 to 5, Sat 10 to 4, Sun 10 to 3. We can fit you to the right boot, talk through binding choice and have you ride out with the full system.

How fast is shipping?

Free express shipping on orders over $99. Same-day dispatch on orders placed before 2pm AEST on business days. Most metro Australia arrives in 1 to 3 business days, regional 3 to 5.
