2022 Santa Cruz Snowboards Overview

UPDATE: Santa Cruz Snowboards are in stock and ready to go. Shop in-store or online now.

Trojan WSS is super excited to bring you the 2022 range of Santa Cruz Snowboards ready for the 2021 snow season. Santa Cruz is regarded as a legendary brand in skateboarding, with distinct, eye-catching graphics and countless innovations that have led the way for a generation of board sports enthusiasts. Santa Cruz has been in the snowboard business since 1989, so they know a thing or two about the sport. With pioneering pros such as Chris Roach, Mike Ranquet and John Cardiel they have helped shape and direct snowboarding to where it is today. The skateboard influenced graphics make these boards pop, and they are full of technology to withstand any punishment you can dish up to them. For all the Santa Cruz snowboards we are stocking this season, we discuss each board's essential features and help you decide which snowboard is right for you.

Santa Cruz JP Walker Pro Snowboard

JP Walker is one of the most influential riders of all time. During the late '90s and 2000's he put out some of the most iconic freestyle video parts and has been recognised with numerous awards. His entire 2009 "This Video Sucks" part was filmed switch. At the time (and possibly still now), no one else had achieved this. It's no surprise then that JP's pro model is a True twin capable of riding the park. However, this board will excel in all conditions. In his own words, JP says, "I've always liked riding one board for all terrain and this board does that job well for me". This all-mountain freestyle board will suit more aggressive or experienced riders. The camber profile will provide stability on landings and hold an edge when carving. With a medium to stiff flex, you will have control when you're going fast and plenty of pop when hitting features. The HCM+ core is designed to maintain torsional strength without impacting longitudinal flex resulting in better edge grip and control. Coming in a range of sizes and with some great graphics, this is one to look out for this season.

Santa Cruz Jordan Small Pro Snowboard

Jordan Small grew up in California skateboarding, surfing and snowboarding. Santa Cruz has taken the best aspects of all three sports and built them into his pro model for 2022. Capable of riding everything from the terrain park to powder, this will be an ideal board for someone looking for a versatile one board quiver. The camber profile offers stability and precision, whilst the directional shape allows for extra float in powder. The mid-flex pattern means this board remains playful and versatile in all conditions. Coming with stealthy dark graphics, which has a sanded print, you won't need a stomp pad on this deck.

Santa Cruz Kaleido Dot Snowboard

The Kaleido Dot Snowboard comes in a true twin shape combined with the Santa Cruz "The Snap!" Rocker, making this board ideal for all mountain riders. They describe their Snap! Rocker as a combination of camber and rocker, which means this board will be versatile across the mountain. Camber will enhance the board's responsiveness when ollieing and carving on groomers, whilst the rocker will allow for a better float on powder days and catch free riding in the park. The flex is on the stiffer side of medium for responsive riding, whilst the torsionally rigid Power Lyte HCM+ core will maintain power and precision even in steeper backcountry terrain.

Santa Cruz DECAL 2 Snowboard

Great value for your money, the Decal 2 snowboard is ideal for freestyle to all mountain riders. The true twin shape and medium flex make this board ideal for the rider looking to jib and spin in the park or across the whole mountain. The Snap! Rocker (a combination of camber and rocker) offers the response of camber when you need it and the catch-free float of rocker when you want it. Also, the profile will help keep your nose up in the powder, making this a versatile board. The HCM Core allows for a more playful ride making this board an excellent choice for any snowboarder from beginner to advanced. The graphic includes classic Santa Cruz logos and images from legendary skate artist Jim Phillips, making this an eye-catching ride.

Rocker profile means this board will also be ideal for more mellow freeriders as it will allow for more flow in powder and a catch-free ride. Santa Cruz snowboard FAQs

Are Santa Cruz snowboards any good?

Santa Cruz snowboards carry serious heritage — the brand grew out of the original 1970s Santa Cruz skate scene, and the graphics and attitude follow it onto snow. The five boards reviewed above, from the JP Walker Pro through to the Gleam Dot, span pro models through to approachable all-mountain decks.

Can I buy a Santa Cruz snowboard in Australia?

Not from us right now — we don't currently stock the brand. With the 2026 season open at Perisher and Thredbo, the boards in our full snowboard range — Burton, Nitro and Whitespace among them — cover the same all-mountain and freestyle territory.

What size snowboard should I ride?

Weight and boot size matter more than brand. The Capita size chart is a solid starting point for any twin or all-mountain board, and if it's your first deck, our 50 beginner snowboarding tips will save you some bruises.
