Nitro Team TLS Snowboard Boots

Description:

THE PRO TEAM´S FAVORITE FIT
Nitro´s most celebrated and award-winning snowboard boot for good reason. Delivering team-tested and snowboarder-proven performance year after year, the Nitro Team is considered by snowboarders everywhere to be the most versatile snowboard boot on the market with a proper fit that never quits.

The Nitro Team boot is the go-to boot for snowboarders everywhere, from pros to local legends, because of its undeniable comfortable fit, versatile flex, and time-proven performance. Equipped with a Vibram® Outsole made of Vibram® ECOSTEP™ Compound, EVA Midsole, and an Air Dampening system underfoot for superior cushioning for all-day resort boarding and the best grip for those long hikes to the summit after the lifts close. Available in standard lacing or our team-trusted TLS Twin Lacing system for a customizable fit with an upgrade in speed thanks to the 45° Laceglider for a smooth lace-up and added lace durability. Combining the Cloud 9 Liner and Otholite® Dual Density Footbed provides all-day cushioning and a sure foothold. Simultaneously, the Re/Lace Liner Locker allows you to retighten your liner mid-run or on the chair with ease if you feel the need for a mid-day adjustment. Like 21-year veteran team rider Eero Ettala, experienced pros ride the Team boot because it provides stability, comfort, reliability, and response needed to help push the bar even further. It's easier to push your limits when your feet are comfortably warm, and that's just what the reflective Therminator Shield does - keeps the heat in the boot where it belongs, especially on those bitter mid-winter days. Team-tested, time-proven performance with a fit just perfect for you!

Details:

Vibram® Outsole made of Vibram® ECOSTEP™ Compound: Vibram grip and traction and an Eco-friendly approach: here is the new sole of NITRO …. made of Vibram® ECOSTEP™ Compound, an eco-friendly recycled rubber compound developed by Vibram® and made up to 50% of recycled rubber. The rubber scrap generated by Vibram’s production process is recycled in order to produce Vibram® Ecostep compound. It’s a High-quality compound formulation, which offers a very good Vibram grip and traction on snow while preserving the environment through the waste reduction

EVA Midsole: Used on all boots with rubber outsoles, the EVA midsole reduces the overall weight and provides cushioning and thermal insulation.

Air Dampening: Our trusted AIR suspension technology is now featured on even more models. The best shock absorbing technology on the planet sucks up hard landings and keeps your heels from getting bruised. This noticeable difference in ride and comfort does not compromise response or control.

Therminator Shield: This thermal layer between sole and liner will reflect your body heat and keep your feet warm all day.

Armored Spine: We are using an anatomically shaped and 3D molded heel reinforcement to provide even boot flex and long-lasting heel fit.

Flex Link Design: A flexible panel at the ankle between the upper and lower shell ensures an even flexing, responsive boot without the bulk.

45° Laceglider: This precision molded low friction plastic insert is positioned at the crucial 45° lacing position in the ankle area. It drastically reduces lace friction and makes tying up your TLS system even easier.

TLS 5 Twin Lacing System: Nitro leading the pack with the TLS 5 lacing system: Easy lace engagement and release, combined with the low abrasion of our Dyneema® laces are the key factors of this highly reliable zonal lacing system. At the same time, the TLS 5 features compact size and low weight while maintaining the reliability proven by tens of thousands of days on the mountain. Even though rarely needed, servicing and replacement of all parts including the lace are easier than with any other system on the market. Even using a standard lace if you're in a pinch is an option only available on Nitro's TLS boots. Easy-entry handle storage pockets as well as our Bail Out system for easier entry and exit round off the most developed dual lacing system on the market.

Bail Out System: Designed to make unlacing the TLS system even easier. This pull tab that is placed in the middle of the TLS lacing system on the outside of the boot allows for effortless unlacing and recording breaking speeds for taking your boots off.

Cloud 9 Liner:

  • Pre-Molded Thermacell: for perfect out-of–the box fit
  • Hi-Heel Frame: more response and a precise fit
  • Re/Lace Liner Locker: for a snug and easy to operate closure
  • Latex Memory Pads: for a lifetime heel fit
  • Flex Toe: expands for custom toe box fit
  • Triple Density Ortholite® Footbed (Select): ultimate support and comfort
  • Dual Density Ortholite® Footbed (Team): top notch control and cushioning
  • ILS (Internal Lacing System): Our ILS system features a lacing harness firmly connected to the boot shell. This harness snugly wraps around the liner, securing it in the shell and providing precise lacing and fit. Our engineered ILS laces provide less friction and a Dyneema® core for added strength.
  • Re/Lace Liner Locker: Another innovation from our friendly R&D department at Nitro: The RE/LACE Liner Locker provides easy adjustability of your inner boot lacing when your boot shell is already tightened (tied), by just pulling up on the lace handle. This allows you to (re)tighten your liner and foothold throughout the day (wherever you may find yourself on the mountain) without having to untie your boot.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Before Riding:
Before riding, ensure the boots are properly secured in the bindings to prevent any unnecessary movement that could result in damage to your boots or even yourself.
Transporting:
To transport your boots with care it is best to place them within a snowboard boot bag, or a snowboard bag. This will prevent any unnecessary scratches or damage to your boots.
Storing:
Before putting your boots away ensure they are dry and free of any remaining snow, this will prevent bacteria and rust from forming. It is best to store your boots in some sort of bag or enclosed protected capsule.
Cleaning:
Cleaning snowboard boots is a straightforward process that requires some basic equipment and a bit of time and once you are done, allow around 24 hours for the boots dry.
Generally, hand washing is preferred as snowboard boots run the risk of being damaged if washed in a machine. Boots run the risk of shrinking or deforming if washed or dried with heat, so use cold water and air dry if possible.
For most boots, laundry detergent is fine to use, however, if your boot has GORE-TEX®, SympaTex® or any other waterproof membrane, it is best to use a special cleaner like NikWax.
