EVA Outsole: To reduce weight, even more, we are using full EVA outsoles on selected models. While keeping weight low, the EVA also provides great impact absorption and thermal insulation
Rubber Impact Panels: Selected EVA outsoles are reinforced with strategically placed rubber reinforcements for added resistance, traction, and durability.
Flex Link Design: A flexible panel at the ankle between the upper and lower shell ensures an even flexing, responsive boot without the bulk.
Spine Protection (Boa® Models and Incline): A flexible molded spine made of a TPR compound that is softer to allow for an even pressured lace closure, while providing medium flex and durability to the shape and spine of the boot.
Cloud 5 Liner: Our Cloud 5 liner's comfortable and highly flexible fit is a result of the pre-molded lightweight Thermacell materials. The liners Re/Lace Liner Locker lacing system allows for easy re-tightens without having to undo your shell lacing and providing you with the perfect foothold. The Latex Memory Pads offer infinite heel fit and our flex toe construction for a highly customized feel. The Solo Density Ortholite® footbed will provide the dampening and support needed for all-day riding. Heat moldable.
- Pre-Molded Thermacell: for perfect out-of–the box fit
- Re/Lace Liner Locker: for a snug and easy to operate closure
- Latex Memory Pads: for a lifetime heel fit
- Flex Toe: expands for custom toe box fit
- Solo Density Ortholite® Footbed: for zonal support and dampening
ILS (Internal Lacing System): Our ILS system features a lacing harness firmly connected to the boot shell. This harness snugly wraps around the liner, securing it in the shell and providing precise lacing and fit. Our engineered ILS laces provide less friction and a Dyneema® core for added strength.
Re/Lace Liner Locker: Another innovation from our friendly R&D department at Nitro: The RE/LACE Liner Locker provides easy adjustability of your inner boot lacing when your boot shell is already tightened (tied), by just pulling up on the lace handle. This allows you to (re)tighten your liner and foothold throughout the day (wherever you may find yourself on the mountain) without having to untie your boots.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Before Riding:
Before riding, ensure the boots are properly secured in the bindings to prevent any unnecessary movement that could result in damage to your boots or even yourself.
Transporting:
To transport your boots with care it is best to place them within a snowboard boot bag, or a snowboard bag. This will prevent any unnecessary scratches or damage to your boots.
Storing:
Before putting your boots away ensure they are dry and free of any remaining snow, this will prevent bacteria and rust from forming. It is best to store your boots in some sort of bag or enclosed protected capsule.
Cleaning:
Cleaning snowboard boots is a straightforward process that requires some basic equipment and a bit of time and once you are done, allow around 24 hours for the boots dry.
Generally, hand washing is preferred as snowboard boots run the risk of being damaged if washed in a machine. Boots run the risk of shrinking or deforming if washed or dried with heat, so use cold water and air dry if possible.
For most boots, laundry detergent is fine to use, however, if your boot has GORE-TEX®, SympaTex® or any other waterproof membrane, it is best to use a special cleaner like NikWax.
