Arbor Veda Camber Womens Snowboard

Description:

The Arbor Veda Snowboard is a freerider's delight. This directional big mountain board was shaped for Marie-France Roy, and enables a style of riding that emphasizes creativity, fluidity, and speed. It has a tapered, setback shape that floats exceptionally well in untracked snow, as well as long lines, a sturdy flex, and a full camber profile that generates plenty of power and response when pushed down the fall line. To finish it off, the board is made with Arbor's signature commitment to sustainability, featuring a plastic-free topsheet that highlights the beautiful and unique woodgrain patterns of the Cedar Powerply.

Features:

Rocker Type: System Camber

If you want a highly responsive ride, crisp on-edge performance, and more pop for carving and ollies - all with smoother camber performance - then System Camber shapes are for you. The camber progressively reduces toward the tip and tail, making the leading edge less aggressive for cleaner on-snow performance.

Shape: Directional

A tri-radial sidecut design that is not "blended." Natural shaping intersections, that in the past were eliminated, have been transformed into heel and toe contact points that provide a direct, more ergonomic way to grip the snow when additional control is needed. Arbor’s Fenders are lifted side sections at the tip/tail of the board that create smoother performance without shortening the camber section of the board. As a result, you get a clean ride without any loss of the pop that comes from full-length camber.

Core

Highland II Core – A newly developed screening process has allowed Arbor to hand select the very lightest and highest quality paulownia from sourcing partners. The result is a lighter, more responsive version of the Highland Core, known for highly reliable return and long-lasting durability.

Laminates

Mixed Glassing – A triax over biax lay-up that's best for versatility: pow, backcountry, groomers, jumps, and more.

Sidewalls

360° Fully Wrapped Sidewalls – Eliminates the need for tip fill, while effectively tying the whole snowboard together. A technology that delivers incredibly tight tolerances for improved board life and durability.

Base

Sintered Plus Base – Arbor's sintered plus base is mid-density material that demonstrates increased speed and durability while maintaining the ease of repair.

Edges

Recycled Steel Edges – Highly durable, recycled steel edges embody Arbor's key values: quality and sustainability.

Factory Tuned – Arbor detunes the tip and tail contact points on all of their snowboards for a catch-free ride before they leave the factory.

Topsheet

Aromatic Cedar Powerply – FSC Certified, sustainably harvested, resilient and aromatic, with tones of cream, yellow, dark red, and violet.

R.A.P. Topless Technology – A build process in which Arbor eliminates the need for their Bio-Plastic Topsheet, creating a lighter, more eco-friendly ride.

Additional Features

Bio Resin – Bio-Resin is a replacement for traditional petroleum based resin that doesn't affect performance or usability. The ingredients that go into it are sourced as co-products or waste products of other industrial processes and are manufactured employing green chemistry techniques that reduce the carbon footprint of the material by up to 40% when compared to its petroleum based equivalent.

Wend Natural Wax – All Arbor snowboards hit the shop floor ready to ride with Wend Natural Wax.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Waxing:
Waxing your snowboard is essential. It will keep you moving faster (which is essential on those flat bits or cat tracks) and will prevent your board from drying out, thus extending its life. Waxing isn’t a one-and-she’s-done kind of thing—you’ll need to give your board a good hot wax from time to time. Exactly how often will depend on how much you ride it, but a sure sign that it’s due for a wax is if the base starts to look a little white and you feel like you’re going slower than usual on flat bits. Snowboards typically come with a “factory wax", meaning a wax that was applied in the warehouse when it was made. You can ride the board immediately with the factory wax, but most snowboarders agree that it’s way better to give the board a proper hot wax before you take it out on the snow. Before putting your board away for the final time of the season, be sure to have a storage wax applied to your snowboard.
Sharpen Your Board as Needed
Snowboards can be sharpened at a snowboard shop with a sharpening machine, or with a whetstone and file
Snowboard Bags:
Use a snowboard bag to transport you board around while preventing any potential damage to your board, boots, and bindings.
Boots and bindings:
Before riding, ensure your bindings are attached to your board firmly to prevent any damage at the contact points.
Obstacles:
Exposed rocks and other hard, jagged surfaces are your snowboard’s worst enemy. Ride with care, especially early and late in the season when the coverage isn’t at its best.
Repairs:
If there are any minor gashes on your board, a fresh wax and buff and you should be fine, however any major defects with the board should be repaired or replaced prior to using.
Putting Away:
At the end of each and every day on the mountain, be sure to carefully wipe off any snow that’s stuck to your board. Don’t forget the crevices around the bindings; leaving excess moisture can cause metal parts to rust. At the end of the season, give your board a solid wipe down (especially if it’s covered in spring riding muck), dry it off thoroughly, and melt on a thick layer of wax—which you can scrape off at the start of next season. Store your board in a dry, cool place where it won’t get knocked around.
